Millions more have overwhelmed neighboring countries—and their numbers and needs grow daily. Of the more than 12 million people who are in need of humanitarian assistance, 5.6 million are children. “Think about this: 1.5 million people live in Manhattan. If this happened to all of them, would you notice?”
